<procdesc>Habitat variables were recorded in the field at five survey reaches following Peck et al. (2006). An Excel workbook is used to store habitat data from all surveys and reaches, and variables describing stream channel and riparian characteristics are also calculated. Data recorded during habitat surveys are entered on the appropriate worksheets by one person from the FWCO office following instructions provided in the workbook. This person then verifies data entries relative to the data forms, and if necessary, edits entries so that they conform to the data forms. A second person from the FWCO office then compares data entered into the workbook to the field data forms and corrects any remaining errors.</procdesc>
